A woman is dead after a crash involving an SUV and a semi-truck Thursday morning in the town of Rutland. A woman has died following a crash involving an SUV and a semi-truck in Dane County, Wisconsin. The crash occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Highway 14 and Old Stage Road. Witnesses reported that the female driver pulled out in front of the semi, which was traveling north on Highway 16. She was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was uninjured. Traffic will be rerouted for several hours as investigators assess the scene and collect evidence. The identity of the woman will be released at a later date pending notification by the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A woman is dead after a crash involving an SUV and a semi-truck Thursday morning in the town of Rutland.

Dane County Sheriff’s deputies and EMS responded to the crash just after 9:30 a.m. on Highway 14 and Old Stage Road.

Witnesses to the crash told law enforcement the female driver was heading west on Old Stage Road when she pulled out in front of the semi, which was traveling north on Highway 14.

Officials say the woman was found unresponsive, and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

Authorities say traffic will be rerouted for several hours as investigators assess the scene and collect evidence.

The identity of the woman will be released at a later time, by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office, pending notification of family.
