Police were searching for 37-year-old Jerome Ja… Eau Claire Police have confirmed that 37-year-old Jerome Jacobs, a person of interest in an attempted homicide in Madison, Wisconsin, is no longer in the Eau Claire area. Jacobs was seen by police this morning but ran away when officers tried to stop him. He crashed his vehicle near Lakeshore Elementary near Carson Park and ran away. A shelter-in-place was issued for the area. Two people were injured in a shooting in Madison on Sunday night, one in critical condition while the other was treated and released.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Eau Claire Police say a man wanted for questioning in an attempted homicide is no longer in the Eau Claire area. Police were searching for 37-year-old Jerome Jacobs. He’s a person of interest in a shooting that injured two people in Madison Sunday night (6/9/24). He was seen by Eau Claire Police this morning, but crashed his vehicle near Lakeshore Elementary near Carson Park and ran away when officers tried to pull him over. A shelter-in-place was issued, and Eau Claire Police say they extensively searched the area.

Madison Police say two people were taken to the hospital after the shooting Sunday night; one is still in critical condition while the other was treated and released.
