Showers, Storms and the Threat of Severe Weather Wednesday
Strong to potentially Severe storms are on the way. A secondary cold front is expected to bring in a threat of potentially Severe storms across Wisconsin on Wednesday, with temperatures expected to drop from the mid-60s to near 59° early tomorrow morning. The first of these storms will reach Southern Wisconsin between 3PM and 4PM, potentially producing strong winds and large hail. While showers and storms are expected to occur throughout the evening, any threat of Severe weather will end before 9PM and 10PM.

While a passing cold front this evening did supply the region with a few isolated showers earlier on, the main story moving forward will be an inbound secondary cold front that will help produce a threat of not only showers and storms, but the threat of potentially Severe storms come Wednesday. As for this evening, expect gradually clearing skies with temperatures dwindling toward the mid 60s by 10 o'clock before bottoming out near 59° early tomorrow morning.
We'll start out our midweek under clear skies, but surging temperatures and that advancing cold front will give way to gradually increasing cloud cover and eventually chances of showers and thunderstorms. The latest model data suggests that the first of our storms will reach Southern Wisconsin between 3PM and 4PM. It's possible that some of the storms we see tomorrow afternoon and evening may produce strong winds and large hail. While showers and storms are expected to affect our region throughout the entire evening and even into the overnight hours, any threat of Severe storms will conclude between 9PM and 10PM.
