Man accused of robbing Beloit businesses with notes in 2023 found guilty
A man was found guilty in Rock County Circuit Court after robbing Beloit businesses using notes in 2023. David Gober, a 62-year-old man accused of robbing multiple businesses in 2023 in Rock County, Wisconsin, has been found guilty of robbery of a financial institution and armed robbery with threat of force/use of a dangerous weapon. His sentences carry over 17 years in prison, followed by five years of extended probation. The guilty verdict came nearly a year after Gober allegedly robbed a BMO Harris in Beloit with a note stating, "Give me all your money. I have a gun." The Rock County District Attorney’s Office commended the efforts of the Beloit Police Department and the victims and witnesses for assisting in the investigation.

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) - A man accused of robbing multiple businesses using notes in 2023 was found guilty, the Rock County District Attorney’s Office announced Monday.
David Gober, 62, was found guilty in Rock County Circuit Court of robbery of a financial institution and armed robbery with threat of force/use of a dangerous weapon. Gober’s sentences carry over 17 years in prison, followed by five years of extended probation.
The guilty verdict came nearly a year after Gober robbed a BMO Harris in Beloit on June 16, 2023, passing a teller a note stating, “Give me all your money. I have a gun,” officials said.
The same day, Gober tried to rob Hotel Goodwin, also in Beloit, by passing a note to an employee that said, “I have a gun, and this is a robbery put all of the money in my hand,” said officials.
The Rock County District Attorney’s Office said they acknowledge the efforts of the Beloit Police Department in conducting the investigation into Gober’s activities, and the bravery of the victims and witnesses for assisting in the investigation.
