Green County partners continue Box of Love program for grieving families
GREEN COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) -- A foundation that helped families grieve after losing a loved one to suicide has closed, but one of its most meaningful programs will continue. Green County Healthy Community, SSM Health Monroe and the Green County Coroner's Office are continuing the Box of Love program, which provides grief resources, messages of hope, books about healing, a blanket and other comfort items. The program was started by Teri Ellefson after she lost her son, Jacob. Over 70 boxes have been delivered to grieving families over the years.
