2 arrested on drug trafficking charges in Iowa County
Police arrested a man and a woman in connection to a drug trafficking operation in the Village of Cobb on Tuesday. Two people have been arrested in the Village of Cobb, Wisconsin, for drug trafficking. Julie A. Porteous, a 48-year-old woman, was charged with several felony counts including possession with intent to deliver narcotics, possession with intention to deliver amphetamine, bail jumping, and maintaining a drug trafficking place. Another person was also charged with child neglect. The arrests were made in response to a search warrant by members of the Richland-Iowa-Grant-Drug Task Force. Charges have not yet been filed.

IOWA COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) -- Two people were arrested for drug trafficking in the Village of Cobb.
Around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, members of the Richland-Iowa-Grant-Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant. Iowa County Sheriff Michael Peterson said that a man and a woman were arrested in connection to a drug trafficking operation. One of the people arrested was also charged for child neglect.
Charges have not yet been filed.
Julie A. Porteous, 48, was arrested on several felony counts including possession with intent to deliver narcotics, possession with intent to deliver amphetamine, bail jumping, and maintaining a drug trafficking place. Porteous was also arrested for two misdemeanors - neglecting a child and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Larry J. Lapan, 62, who was already on probation, was arrested as a party to a crime relating to the felony drug charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics, possession with intent to distribute amphetamine, and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
Iowa County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force were assisted by Cobb First Responders, Highland EMS, and Haase’s Towing.
