Wisconsin's defense delivers in exhibition vs Oklahoma State
Wisconsin men's basketball benefited from excellent early defense and a multi-faceted 3-point threat in its exhibition win over Oklahoma State. Wisconsin's basketball team won an exhibition game against Oklahoma State 82-65, largely due to the team's defense, which held the Cowboys to just 28.1% shooting in the first half. The Badgers also displayed strong perimeter shooting, with seven players making at least two 3-pointers. Despite the loss, coach Greg Gard expressed optimism about the team’s overall performance. Owen Foxwell led the Badgers with 19 points, while Will Garlock played without the injured forward. The team's rebounding was a weakness, with Oklahoma State finishing with eight offensive rebounds compared to UW's 15 defensive rebounds.
