GREEN COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) -- Flooding is becoming an issue in some parts of the state. The Green County Sheriff's Office asked residents Thursday to avoid certain roads due to the high water levels.

The sheriff's office is asking residents to avoid the areas of Tin Can Road, Zurfluh Road and Silver Road.

"There is significant flooding and for everyone's safety we advise that you use another route at this time," The sheriff's office posted on Facebook. "As a reminder, do not drive through roadways covered in water."

Flooding is the most common natural disaster in Wisconsin, and it puts lives at risk.
