The Monelision Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene and found the truck with heavy damage and debris scattered across the road. The condition of the injured person is unknown. CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — One person was taken to the hospital after a GMC truck slammed into a light pole on US-29 on April 2 in Madison Heights.

Details remain limited; however, the Monelision Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a crash in front of The Sweet Spot ice cream shop on South Amherst Highway.

At the scene, WFXR crews found the truck with heavy damage and debris spread across the road.

The MVFD said one patient was taken to the hospital, and their condition is unknown.
