An arrest has been made in a decades-long cold case in Racine. Police in Racine, Wisconsin, have arrested Fred Wagner-Richardson, the former husband of his ex-wife, in 1987 for the murder of her ex-girlfriend. RACINE (WKOW) -- An arrest has been made in a decades-long cold case in Racine.

Police arrested a man nearly 40 years after they say he murdered his ex-wife.

Our Milwaukee affiliate WISN reports police say the man now charged with killing her was the key person all along.

Police charged her former husband, Fred Wagner-Richardson, with murder.

A recent search of his home was prompted because authorities had information he had firearms he can't own as a convicted felon.
